Origami instructions are all about "reading" symbols.  These are the most common symbols.  Just like reading a book, the more you practice understanding these symbols, the faster and easier origami will become!
Some instructions will be easier to understand than others.  Instructions from different sources may seem to have different symbols... at first!

Keep practicing.
If you have trouble understanding a step, ask a friend or find a different set of instructions for a similar model.
Some folds are a little tricky the first time you try them.  That is why it is important to learn the basic folds before you try to make an origami model with more difficult folds.

You wouldn't try to run 10 miles if you never tried to walk.  Take small steps and go as slow as you need to.

The more you practice, the better you will get!
These are more challenging folds.

The first time you try them they may come out crooked or your paper may rip.

That is O.K.

Mistakes are Proof
You are TRYING

Keep practicing!
