Here is an origami for kids website I made a few years ago!  It is intended as a supplemental resource for in-person instruction.

Most origami pieces need a square piece of paper to begin with.  Think about how you can make a square from a rectangle.

​

You need to LOOK at the pictures.

 

Begin with "Basic fold" and then go to "Beginner". Origami can be hard if you have never done it.

 

Some kids learn better by watching a video. Search for "Origami for Kids Easy" on YouTube.

 

Practice, expect to make mistakes, and have patience!
