Image Websites

The following websites have images that are either copyright-free or royalty-free.  That means that anyone can use them without breaking artistic property laws.  Some websites are all free, others are a mix of free images and images for sale.  Please do not pay for any images, look for something similar on another website.

Why can't I just take an image off of a google search?

Because that image belongs to someone.  Using another person's image as your own is illegal.  It is the same thing as turning in a paper someone else wrote but saying you wrote it (even if you change a couple things).  However, there are online resources (e.g., Flicer's Creative Commons) that allow students to use images for educational purposes.  That means, you can use their photos as long as you do not re-sell their work.
